What are your candles made of ?
Our taper candles, made in a French candle workshop, are crafted from carefully selected wax for a stable, elegant burn. Each candle is then hand-painted with professional pigments to create a unique luminous, decorative object.
Can the painted candles be lit ?
Yes. Maison Candâme tapers are designed to be lit and to accompany weddings, dinners and receptions. The flame reveals a soft, harmonious light, designed to enhance your most precious moments.
How long do your candles burn ?
Our taper candles offer around 6 hours of burn time, ideal for lighting a ceremony or a dinner.
Do the candles drip ?
Our tapers are designed for a stable, elegant burn. Like any taper, slight dripping may appear depending on the environment (draughts or tilt). Placed upright and away from draughts, they keep a harmonious flame and a refined finish.
How do I maintain a flame ?
To keep a clear, harmonious flame:
- Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lighting.
- Place the candle upright in a suitable holder.
- Avoid draughts and favour a lightly ventilated space.
- Never leave a candle unattended.
Why is each candle slightly different ?
Each taper is hand-painted. Slight variations may appear and are part of the unique, refined character of each piece.
